On January 1, 2018. SB442, the Pool Safety Act became law. It was flawed legislation. SB552 makes improvements to the Pool Safety Act. A lack of understanding of the requirements of SB552 increases the exposure of the home inspector. This seminar will address key components of SB552.
-What three conditions must be present to require a pool safety feature inspection?
-What required written statement must be included in every pool safety home inspection report.
-Is the home inspector required to verify safety features meet ASTM International standards?
- What are the three requirements the home inspection report must include about each pool safety feature inspected?
-What is the inspector “Standard of Care”?
-Does SB552 specify which components of a safety feature are to be inspected?
-Where are exit alarms NOW required?
- and MORE.
Pool Safety features are considered by the State Legislature to be critical in preventing drowning of small children. Your knowledge of SB552 is equally critical. Your inspection is considered a first line of defense. You must get it right.
